Alwaraq.com is a comprehensive free Arabic Digital library, which includes over a million pages of the most important Arabic classical books, plus some important books of the World Heritage like (The Story of Civilization). It is a non profit cultural project that aims to preserve the Arabic Heritage and eliminates the cultural and digital pide, by providing about 700 Arabic and Islamic cultural books in 16 topics. Many of those books are not available in hard copy for the public around the world. Alwaraq also contains cultural Multimedia Materials for blinds.

One of the most predominant cultural heritages of the Arab world is Poetry “Al-She’er”. Indeed this site has highlighted most if not all the important aspects of this heritage. Also, it includes a number of artistic creations. The site is not limited to only Modern Arabic Poetry but includes other posting by famous Poets from around the world in 7 Languages. It can serve scholars, teachers and students from all around the world. It is a great value concerning the biographies, images and voices of leading Arab poets of the past half century. “Jehat” is very innovative and creative, and touches an important cultural heritage and exposes it well to the world.

Eternal Egypt is a multi-lingual website (in English, French and Arabic) that uses the latest interactive technologies in order to offer users from around the world the experience of learning about ancient Egypt. High-resolution imagery, animations, virtual environments, remote web cameras and three-dimensional models all combine to provide a rewarding interactive learning experience. One can explore the site by taking a guided tour and selecting the highlights of Egyptian civilization in addition to a number of valuable search possibilities. An innovative interactive map or a timeline is also available for users to investigate Egypt’s incredible cultural heritage.
Faqra Archeological Site
Description of the product/ project
This research and enhancement work of archeological sites in Lebanon was made possible through this product. It takes the visitor on an initiatory path, leading him from the Lebanese coast across the snow-covered passes of Mount Lebanon, towards the majestic and monumental city of Baalbeck, the “Mecca” of antiquity. Very clean design, and wonderful navigational structure, easy to use and quite clear. Excellent use of multimedia that transfers the browser to Lebanon in an instant regardless of the place the person is accessing the website from. |
