The Minister of Industry & Commerce Commending Bahrain eContent Award The Minister of Industry and Commerce Dr. Hassan Abdullah Fakhro welcomed in his office yesterday morning The chairman of Bahrain internet society Mr.Ahmed Alhujairy and the board member of Bahrain internet society Mr.Ubaydli Al Ubaydli who informed his Excellency, the preparations required to launch the Bahrain eContent Award for the third round as the results are proposed to be announced at the end of this year. The meeting initiated with the Minister of Industry and Commerce congratulating and remarking on the role of the Bahrain Internet Society and all the workers in the eCommerce and I.T Directorate for strengthening this sector’s role in the national economy and gaining more importance amid the government’s envisage to activate the eGov project. His Excellency affirmed the preparation of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce represented by the eCommerce and I.T Directorate in providing more support for the committee founded for Bahrain eContent Award, which is considered to be one of the pioneering gestures reflecting industrial and technical growth in the Kingdom. Mr. Al Hujairy informed His Excellency with the latest developments relating to the Bahrain eContent Award affirming that rewards of this nature will contribute to developing both the local and Arab electronic industry in a futuristic vision for the growth of this sector based on establishing the required infrastructure. Present at the meeting were Undersecretary for Industrial affairs Mr. Osama Alorrayed, Act. Director of eCommerce & I.T Department Mr. Zuhair Albahrani, and Act.
