Description of the product/ project
The Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) is a dynamic public agency with an overall responsibility for formulating and overseeing the economic development strategy of Bahrain, and for creating the right climate to attract direct investment into the Kingdom. The role of the Bahrain EDB is to provide leadership by uniting all of the Kingdom's shareholders through a unified vision, and to develop key strategies for growth. It also acts as a facilitator, helping all of Bahrain's stakeholders to understand and adopt the changes necessary for progress.

Jury Evaluation
Describes all about doing business in Bahrain, which in turn helps new business entries in Bahrain. Content wise this site fulfills all required information in first hand for any new comers. EDB site is full of informative contents, and quite explanatory in navigation. Explaining minute details related to the economy, logistics, ICT, manufacturing and many more business establishment within Bahrain. It is one of the excellent initiative established by Bahrain Government to help outsiders queries on how, when and where to start business in Bahrain.

The Ministry’s web portal is distinguished by offering different electronic services in order to provide the needs of various groups, the web portal offers the electronic services through the eServices channel, those electronic services are targeted to businesses, citizens and employees.

Jury Evaluation
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce is a model portal of any government ministry in the region. It is providing e-services for Bahrain citizens and Business sectors and allows them to check the application status on the net. The portal is bilingual with user-friendly navigation to make the content more accessible and reachable. In addition, it affords all the commerce regulation and laws. One of the positive aspects of the portal is RSS. Moreover, the portal is providing a sense of security and credibility to its eServices. As a result, users will be aware of using it and their information is protected.



Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA)  
      
       

Description of the product/ project
The LMRA website provides information and services for foreign workers, employers and the public. Visitors of the website will find information about the LMRA reform project, can vote and comment on consultancy papers issued by the LMRA before publishing it, review research papers, read the latest LMRA news. Moreover expatriates can find various information regarding labour policies before arriving into Bahrain -in eight different languages- such as: expatriate workers rights and regulations, Regulating the expatriate workers in Bahrain, need a large database to include all foreign workers. The employer can apply for a new work visa, renew, terminate work visa for a worker all with a few clicks online. This method help provide a one-stop route into these services provided by the LMRA.

The extensive range of eServices provide required information in a timely manner with sense of protection. The website is true model for how government can leverage technology to provide information and services to citizens.
